The Brief

Blue Pebble was awarded the contract to provide full event management services for the annual GE Healthcare GLM for 600 international attendees. Our challenge was to propose new venues and locations to demonstrate a reduction in costs on previous years and provide an extra special event as this would signal the first event under the newly promoted CEO.

 

The Delivery

Blue Pebble recommended The JW Marriott Grande Lakes property in Orlando, Florida based on its exceptional events space and enough bedrooms to keep all aspects of the event in-house. We built up an excellent working relationship with the hotel’s sales team, working closely to negotiate on costs and contract flexibility, along with adding value to the event with complimentary in-room high-speed internet access and national calls for all delegates.

Participants from all over the world registered for the event via a registration website, designed and built by Blue Pebble Events working closely with GE and to stringent guidelines on artwork, fonts and branding. The site was managed on a day-to-day basis by our staff, as were all delegate queries and changes.

Blue Pebble worked closely with GE to develop the production style and content and worked with local suppliers on the building of stage sets and sound and lighting.

Blue Pebble co-ordinated all ground transportation, privately chartered aircraft, leisure activities, a programme of ad-hoc meetings, team building events and off-site dinners, signage and badges and all delegate communication.
